Natural Lip Balm: All That You Need to Know

Take half a cup of grated beetroot and Strain the juice out of it with the help of cheesecloth. Mix one spoon of ghee with the beetroot juice and refrigerate overnight. Then you can use it as a regular lip balm. Beetroot contains pigments betanin and violaxanthin which help in brightening dark, pigmented lips and give the lips a natural reddish-pink color. Ghee has healthy fatty acids which act as a moisturizer.

  1. Cinnamon Lip Balm

 

Add 2-3 drops of cinnamon oil in one spoon of cocoa butter. Mix them well and refrigerate overnight. Then you can use it as a regular lip balm. Cinnamon is an antioxidant and acts as a natural lip plumper because of its tingling effect. Cocoa butter hydrates and nourishes the skin. It also tones down the tingling effect of cinnamon.

All these lip balms are handy so they can be used as and when required. It can be applied by taking a sufficient amount of balm on a clean finger and gently rubbing it on the lips. It must be applied in a circular motion on the lips to form an even-thin coating. While using lip balm, some simple tips can provide better protection of lips.
